Is Red a 'Good' or a 'Bad' Color?

Updated: Dec 13, 2018

By now we know that colors have a significant impact on our experiences, thoughts, and emotions.

Let's take a color we see everyday....R E D.

In some beliefs, red is used to stimulate, create urgency, draw attention to, or encourage.

There are many other positive associations with the color including love & warmth.

Some just associate red with wine. Go figure.

Heck, even our local Manor Mustangs rock the color.

Go ahead and take a look at this example of a home for sale in Hutto, TX.

...Whereas others may believe red is symbolic of rage, malice, anger or wrath.

Don't get too scared of this one...and keep scrolling!!!

Whew, that one creeps me out.

As you can see, I tend to have more positive associations with the color.

I'm a proud Maryland Terrapin - our main school color is you know what.

I grew up loving to eat McDonalds.

It's an accent color in two of my favorite sports teams, the NY Rangers and NY Giants.

It's also the color of my real estate brokerage. You can see the red KW in the bottom corner of many of our digital properties.

How do you feel about red? Love it? Hate it?
